Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the Liphyr website at https://tools.liphyr.com (the "Service"). By using the Service you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the Service.

1. What the Service provides

The Service offers free online calculators and informational guides covering UAE employment, property, financial and legal topics. Every calculator is provided strictly for general information and estimation purposes. Nothing on the Service constitutes legal, tax, financial or professional advice.

2. No professional advice — no reliance

UAE laws, regulations, fine schedules and market rates change regularly. Although we verify our calculators against published government sources and label each tool with the date it was last checked, we do not guarantee that any number, figure, formula or rule shown on the Service is current, complete or correct at the time you use it.

Before you act on any output from the Service — including but not limited to accepting or rejecting a job offer, signing a tenancy contract, buying or selling property, taking out a loan, paying or disputing a tax, fine or fee, or filing any submission with a UAE authority — you must verify the applicable rules and figures with the relevant authority (MOHRE, RERA, FTA, MOI, the UAE Central Bank, ICP or GDRFA) or an appropriately licensed UAE professional. You use the Service at your own risk.

3. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by UAE law, Liphyr, its owners, contributors and licensors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary or punitive damages arising from or relating to your use of the Service, including (without limitation) loss of income, loss of opportunity, loss of profit, loss of data, financial loss, emotional distress or reputational damage, whether caused by inaccurate output, unavailability of the Service, reliance on any content, or any other cause.

Where liability cannot be excluded under UAE consumer-protection law, our aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from the Service is strictly limited to AED 100 or the amount you paid us for the Service in the prior 12 months (whichever is higher). The Service is provided free of charge, so in most cases that ceiling is AED 100.

4. Accuracy, updates and no warranty

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, non-infringement, or uninterrupted availability. We may modify, suspend or discontinue the Service, any calculator, or any guide at any time without notice.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to: (a) scrape, copy or republish substantial portions of the Service without our prior written permission; (b) attempt to interfere with the Service's operation or the integrity of any calculator; (c) misuse the Service in a way that causes harm to us or any other user; or (d) use the Service in breach of any UAE law or regulation.

6. Third-party links and advertising

The Service may contain links to third-party websites, including advertisements displayed through Google AdSense, affiliate partners and official UAE government portals. We do not control, endorse, or warrant any third-party content and are not responsible for the accuracy, privacy practices or conduct of those third parties. Your interactions with them are solely between you and the third party.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including all calculators, written content, design, code, logos and trademarks, is owned by Liphyr or our licensors and is protected by UAE copyright and intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes only.

8. Privacy

Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. Our use of cookies and similar technologies is described in our Cookie Policy. By using the Service, you acknowledge those policies.

9. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The most current version will always be posted at this URL with a refreshed effective date. Continued use of the Service after any such change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any dispute arising from or relating to them or to your use of the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent UAE courts.
